Lotto 6/49Another millionaire in the Témiscamingue RCM!
Montréal, June 19, 2025 – Abitibi-Témiscamingue resident Yves Samson won $1,000,000 in the June 4 Lotto 6/49 draw. This lottery winner in his sixties is now set to retire and make a longtime dream come true: buying a modest home of his own.
Highlights
- Yves Samson has played Lotto 6/49 for years, always with Quick Picks.
- After stopping for gas recently, he went into the convenience store to have his tickets validated. At the counter, he joked with the customer behind him, referring to the clerk, “This guy never gives me a win!” At that very moment, a special sound came from the terminal, and much to Samson’s surprise, $1,000,000 appeared on the screen!
The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur Voisin at 6 Rue des Oblats Nord in Ville-Marie. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
Lady Luck smiles on players from Témiscamingue!
This is the third $1,000,000 prize won in the Témiscamingue RCM in just a few months! Éric Goulet-Ménard and local couple Richard Gionet and Anita Presseault also became millionaires with Extra and Célébration 2025, respectively. The winning tickets were purchased in Temiscaming.
