The attached list contains the trademarks owned by Loto-Québec and its subsidiaries [in French only, PDF – 265 KB]. In order to obtain ownership of a trademark, and as requested by the Loto-Québec's Corporate Secretariat, trademark agents file registration applications with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. Loto-Québec owns temporary brand names, valid for 15 years and renewable. It also own official brand names, valid in perpetuity. Registering trademarks protects them from being used by third parties without approval and makes those who would do so liable to prosecution.
