Montréal, July 21, 2026 — Another Capitale-Nationale resident pockets $1,000,000. This time, Guy Perreault is the lucky winner of the Extra top prize in the June 24 draw. When he discovered he was now a millionaire, Perreault went straight to his workplace to inform his boss he was retiring!

“Always with Extra, please!”

• Guy Perreault won $1,000,000 with a free play to which he’d added an Extra number. “Always with Extra, please!” he told the cashier when purchasing his ticket.
• When he checked his ticket early the day after the draw, Perreault initially thought he was winning $100,000. Looking at his ticket more closely, he realized he’d actually won the $1,000,000 top prize!
• The new millionaire headed to his workplace at 5:30 a.m. to announce the great news to his boss, who was thrilled for him.
• “I’m going to enjoy my life quietly,” said the winner when he received his prize at the Salon de jeux de Québec.

The winning ticket was purchased at Marché Express, located at 9335 Boulevard de l’Ormière in Québec City. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.

The lucky streak continues in the Capitale-Nationale region!

At the end of June, Maude Simard also won $1,000,000 with Lotto 6/49. The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur Ferland, located at 1184 Chemin Royal in Saint-Pierre-de-l’Île-d’Orléans.
