“It doesn't just happen to others!”An Outaouais resident wins $1,000,000 with a ticket purchased online
Montréal, October 10, 2025 — Outaouais resident Pierre Lajeunesse won a $1,000,000 prize in the September 19 Quebec Max draw thanks to a Double Jeu Max ticket he purchased on the Loto-Quebec gaming website. “It doesn't just happen to others!” said the forty-something in front of family and friends gathered at the Casino de Mont-Tremblant to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Highlights
- Pierre Lajeunesse started playing online a few years ago. His favourite lotteries are Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49, but sometimes, Québec Max catches his eye.
- Early the day after the draw, he discovered that the ticket he’d purchased online had won him $1,000,000. He quickly called his spouse, who was on a different floor of the house, to share the news.
- The biking enthusiast plans to use his windfall to buy a house to be closer to his family. Future trips are also on the agenda!
