Lottery Games65 new millionaires since the year began

Montréal, August 8, 2025 — Québec lottery players have been especially lucky since the beginning of the year. Loto-Québec has crowned 65 new millionaires so far in 2025. In August 2024, the number of new millionaires stood at 58.

“Loto-Québec paid out over 1.8 billion dollars in prizes to winners last year. The lucky streak continues in 2025, making many families happy! What’s more, two Lotto Max jackpots were awarded in Québec since June,” said Isabelle Jean, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Lottery Games at Loto-Québec.

A host of jackpots won in Québec

  • One month earlier, 15 coworkers at a dealership in Trois-Rivières, in Mauricie, won the $20,000,000 Lotto Max jackpot with a Formule groupe ticket. “You could feel the excitement at work,” one of the group members revealed. “Everyone was jumping into each other's arms!” The colleagues received their jackpot together at the Salon de jeux de Trois-Rivières.

  • Finally, six $5,000,000 jackpots have been won here since January. The Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpot was won five times by Estrie, Montérégie and Montréal residents. In January, a Saguenay‒Lac-Saint-Jean resident won the Célébration 2025 $5,000,000 jackpot after purchasing her ticket on Christmas Day.
