She shared the prize with the lottery group she represents, which includes her spouse, Daniel Taillefer, her sister, Nathalie Bertie and a couple of friends, Dominique Dubé and Denis Ross. The winners received their prize at the Metro Joanne Dubé, inc, in Sainte-Adèle, where the winning ticket was purchased.

“We won a million dollars!”

  • Godmer learned the excellent news after a pickleball game with her spouse, Daniel Taillefer.
  • When she heard the customer display screen emit an unusual sound, she thought it was an advertisement.
  • But when she got the confirmation that she had indeed won the amount displayed on-screen, she cried, “We won a million dollars!” Thanks to this tidy sum, she plans to travel and purchase a new car.
  • Godmer had always said that if she won a major prize, she’d announce the news to her group in person. So, after learning of the win, she visited her sister, Nathalie Bertie, and her friends Dominique Dubé and Denis Ross.
  • Dubé and Ross were celebrating their first wedding anniversary and marked the event with this most unexpected gift. They plan to spoil their loved ones and travel.
