Montréal, September 4, 2026 – Chaudière-Appalaches resident Alexandre Patoine took home a $5,000,000 top prize with the 5 million$ extrême scratch ticket.

- Alexandre Patoine likes to pick up a few lottery tickets at the end of his workweek. Recently, he purchased a 5 million$ extrême ticket and scratched it right at the convenience store.
- To his great surprise, the number 37 in the final game was associated with the $5,000,000 top prize! He immediately had his ticket validated to confirm his win. “It sounded good!” he said when he claimed his prize, referring to the sound made by the terminal.
- He wasted no time in sharing the good news with his partner and family members, who were all thrilled for him.
- The thirty-something winner, who has no plans to stop working anytime soon, intends to use his winnings to spoil his loved ones.
- The winning ticket was purchased at the DépaMax Sainte-Marie convenience store at 1444 Rue Notre-Dame Nord in Sainte-Marie. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $50,000.
