Montréal, October 2, 2026 – Montréal residents recently took home three $1,000,000 prizes. Joey Sacco and his partner, Anissia Vincenza Greco, won $1,000,000 with a Lotto Max ticket from last April that they found in a bag! Karina Fuentes Ruiz won the Extra grand prize with a ticket purchased online for the August 29 draw. Last but not least, Winston Mangal won a guaranteed prize in the September 5 Lotto 6/49 draw.
A discovery that paid off!
- After finding several tickets that had been sitting in his work bag for some time, Joey Sacco stopped at a retailer to have them checked. To his surprise, one Lotto Max ticket had won him $1,000,000 in the April 3 draw!
- The man in his 40s kept the news to himself for a few days before telling his partner that he had a special anniversary gift for her. Their planned trip will undoubtedly be a little more luxurious!
- The winning ticket was purchased at Marché Express, located at Boulevard Shevchenko and Rue Jean-Brillon in the LaSalle borough. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.

A pleasant surprise
- The day after the draw, Karina Fuentes Ruiz was checking her email and saw a message from Loto-Québec informing her that she had won. “I was expecting a free play, but when I saw that it was $1 million, I couldn’t believe it! I started shaking!”
- She logged into her online account to make sure she had really won before rushing to share the happy news with her family.
- The woman in her 30s plans to meet with a financial planner for advice on how to make the most of her winnings.
A million reasons to feel good!
- Winston Mangal discovered that he had won $1,000,000 in the September 5 Lotto 6/49 draw two weeks later. When he saw the amount he had won on the Loto-Québec app, he started counting the zeros—and realized there were quite a few!
- When he arrived at Loto-Québec and was asked how he felt, the winner jokingly replied, “I feel like a million bucks!”
- The man in his 70s plans to spoil his children.
- He purchased his winning ticket at the Pharmaprix at Galeries Normandie on Rue Salaberry in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
