Montréal, July 30, 2026 — Daniel and Suzanne Lefrançois, a brother-sister duo from Montérégie and Montréal, respectively, took home the Gagnant à vie top prize of $1,000 a week for life. They split the $1,000,000 lump sum. When Lefrançois shared the news with her brother, he couldn’t believe it, “It can’t be... It can’t be!” And yet, it was true!

• The brother and sister have been purchasing lottery tickets for several years, hoping to win together.
• She is the one who scratched the Gagnant à vie ticket and discovered the word “VIE” three times in the same game. She quickly called her brother, but they were both in disbelief at first.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Dépanneur 7 Jours at 7707 Boulevard Newman in the LaSalle borough of Montréal. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
