Lottery GamesTwo new millionaires thanks to tickets purchased in Brossard

Montréal, February 5, 2026 – Two Montérégie residents recently became $1,000,000 richer thanks to lottery tickets bought at shopping centres in Brossard. Winners Kui-Fen Chung-Mui-Cheung and Michel Pelletier got lucky in the Lotto 6/49 and Célébration 2026 draws, respectively.

Highlights

  • Kui-Fen Chung-Mui-Cheung purchased his Lotto 6/49 ticket for the January 14 draw at Tabagie Champlain, located in Mail Champlain.
  • When validating the ticket at his regular retailer, he saw $1,000,000 on the customer display screen but didn’t think it applied to him. The store employee informed him that he was indeed the winner!
  • With the million-dollar prize, Kui-Fen will pay off his mortgage and help secure a bright future for his children.
  • Michel Pelletier also won $1,000,000, but with a Célébration 2026 ticket purchased at the Maxi grocery store at Place Portobello. He is among the latest millionaires who won big in the draws at the January 11 gala.
  • The retired winner plans to spoil his children and grandchildren with his unexpected windfall.
  • “I’ll try to come back next year!” Michel joked.

The retailers who sold the winning tickets will each receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
