LotteryIt’s his second win—and it’s not an April Fools’ prank!
Montréal, April 10, 2026 — Mauricie resident Michel Boisvert won $500,000 in the April 1 Extra draw. When he told his loved ones the next day, many of them thought he was joking. This is the lucky winner’s second lottery win, making it harder for his friends to believe. Boisvert had, in fact, won $1,000,000 with Lotto 6/49 two years ago!
“We won another prize!”
- Boisvert went to a retailer to validate his ticket while having his tires changed. After seeing the $500,000 displayed on-screen, he headed to the service desk to validate the ticket with the attendant. It was true: he had just won half a million dollars!
- Boisvert reacted by hugging the store’s staff, just as he had in 2024 when he won with Lotto 6/49.
- “We won another prize!” he told his spouse when he returned home.
- He purchased the winning ticket at the same convenience store, Filgo in Saint-Boniface, Maskinongé.
- The winner plans to use his windfall to spoil his daughters and make a donation to a charity doing cancer research.
