Montréal, September 12, 2025 — “Guillaume, you’ve won two million!” With these words spoken by a clerk at his neighbourhood grocery store, Chaudière-Appalaches resident Guillaume Bouchard learned he had won the Québec 49 jackpot.

• Bouchard usually buys his lottery tickets at the Ami Épicerie Marqcasse store in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse.
• The mining industry worker had his Super forfait ticket checked at that store when he returned from northern Québec.
• That’s where a clerk told him that the Québec 49 July 16 draw had made him rich.

• Without a second to waste, the lucky winner called his spouse. “Sweetheart, I just won 2,000,000$!”

• Back at home, Bouchard jumped into her arms. They both announced the exciting news to their children that same night.
• With his windfall, the forty-something says he plans to make investments. Bouchard and his partner also plan to spoil themselves, especially with a romantic trip to Italy.

The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $20,000.
