No tricks: She gets a Halloween $1.9M treat playing on the Loto-Québec website

Montréal, October 30, 2025 — Montérégie resident Vicky Dion won $1,933,980 with a casino game on the Loto-Québec website, lotoquebec.com. The thirty-something took home the Fiesta réaction progressive jackpot on October 4. She received her prize at Loto-Québec’s offices a few days before Halloween, during a celebration inspired by the game’s imagery, reminiscent of Mexico’s Day of the Dead feast. She was treated to a personalized face painting lesson!

Highlights

  • This evocative Mexican festival game reminded her of Halloween.
  • Dion was in her kitchen when she saw the value of the progressive jackpot displayed on her screen. Exhilarated, she called her spouse and announced that she’d “won over a million.”
  • After celebrating her luck at Loto-Québec's offices, Dion was treated to a face painting lesson. Incidentally, she wants to dress up as Catrina, an iconic Day of the Dead character, on October 31!
  • When it comes to plans, the mother of two intends to pay off her mortgage and fulfil her dream of taking her family to Walt Disney World.
