LoteriesUne pluie de gagnants en Chaudière-Appalaches
Montréal, October 30, 2025 – Residents of Chaudière-Appalaches have been particularly lucky in the lottery so far this fall. Georges Gagné, from the Beauce, won $1,000,000 in the Québec Max draw on October 17. From the Beauce-Sartigan RCM to the L’Islet RCM, several other area residents have won major prizes in recent weeks totalling nearly $500,000!
A new millionaire in the Beauce!
- Georges Gagné discovered he had become a millionaire while checking the results of the draws he had tickets for on his phone. Initially believing that his Double Jeu Max ticket was a loser, he was shocked when he realized that his Québec Max ticket had won him $1,000,000!
- He went to the Servi Express in Saint-Victor, where he had bought his ticket. When the employee scanned the ticket, he jokingly said, “Not a million, I hope?” To which Georges quickly replied, “You bet!”
- The winner, who works in a plant in his area, said he wanted to keep his job. But thanks to his windfall, he’ll be able to get to work in a brand-new pickup truck!
The retailer will receive $10,000, equivalent to 1% of the prize.
Scratch tickets that paid off
Five other Chaudière-Appalaches residents recently won impressive lottery prizes totalling nearly half a million dollars:
- France Caron, from L’Islet, got to spin the real Méga 360 wheel at Loto-Québec, alongside the game’s host, Isabelle Racicot. She won $350,000 and plans to use the money to explore Europe.
- Jean-Marc Pelletier then won $77,777 on a 777 ticket he bought at the Marché Tradition in Saint-Pamphile. When he received his prize, he admitted he’d broken into a sweat when he saw that he had the seven “
” symbols giving him access to the jackpot!
- Maryse Belanger and Daniel Caron won a grand prize of $40,000 with a Mots cachés musique ticket purchased at the Proxi convenience store in Montmagny.
- Lastly, Hélène Beaudoin won a $25,000 at-home prize with a La Poule aux œufs d’or ticket she bought at the Marché Tradition in Saint-Éphrem-de-Beauce. She said the news spread quickly in her region!
