SaguenayTwo women win major lottery prizes
Montréal, November 5, 2025 – Two Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean residents had a stroke of luck in recent weeks: Nathalie Roussy won a $1,000,000 prize in the October 8 Lotto 6/49 draw, while Suzie Boucher took home a $100,000 instant prize with a Méga 360 lottery ticket. Both winners bought their lottery tickets in Saguenay.
A shower of confetti and zeros
- On the morning of October 9, Nathalie Roussy checked her Lotto 6/49 ticket using the Loto-Québec app. When confetti appeared on her screen with an impressive string of zeros, she could hardly believe her eyes! Overcome with emotion, she turned her phone off and then back on again to check the screen once more. It was true: she had just won $1,000,000!
- She quickly shared the news with her spouse before going to get her ticket validated at the pharmacy where she had purchased it. The entire staff congratulated her!
- Nathalie had already planned a trip in recent weeks. Now she can enjoy it all the more.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Familiprix Marianne Paré pharmacy at 171 6e rue in the La Baie area. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
A prize that left her speechless
- When Suzie Boucher realized she might have won $100,000, she rushed to her son’s house to show him her Méga 360 ticket and make sure he saw what she was seeing.
- Mother and son then went to the convenience store to validate the ticket.
- Upon receiving her prize, Suzie admitted that she was left speechless when she discovered her win!
- She hopes to use her windfall on a European cruise.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Dépanneur du Coin convenience store at 432 boulevard Sainte-Geneviève in the Chicoutimi-Nord area.
