Lotto MaxA group of 12 lucky winners pocket $1,000,000

Montréal, April 17, 2025 — A group of 12 people won $1,000,000 in the March 25 Lotto Max draw. The winners, who didn’t know each other, bought their Formule groupe ticket at the Tabaprix convenience store on 25e Avenue in Saint-Eustache. The group members, most of whom reside in the Laurentides region, met for the first time at the Loto-Québec head office, where they celebrated the event together.

Highlights on some of the winners:

  • Laurentides resident Robert Roy learned the great news as he returned from Australia. The travel enthusiast plans to explore other dream destinations—on a cruise.

  • Another Laurentides resident, Richard Lefebvre, and his long-time friend Gilbert Gariépy from Lanaudière were thrilled to pick up their cheque together at Loto-Québec. Gariépy was “speechless” when Lefebvre told him the news on the phone. He plans to treat himself to a trip to Kenya with his spouse.

  • Laval resident Murielle Cayer Brûlé initially thought she’d won $10,000. When they were awarded the cheque, she and her son said, smiling, “An extra zero changes things!” The winner plans to buy a new car and make investments.

  • Henri Gaucher from the Laurentides region is a regular at the Tabaprix convenience store. This time, he was in for a nice surprise when he had his ticket validated. When the attendant announced how much Gaucher had won, the three customers in line behind him warmly congratulated him.

Lucky winners

The Tabaprix convenience store, which sold the winning tickets, will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
