Powerbucks progressive jackpotA teacher wins over $1.4M on the Loto-Québec website!

Montréal, April 14, 2025 — A new Powerbucks progressive jackpot has been won in Québec! Montréal teacher Sophie Breton won $1,446,012, the progressive jackpot of the Powerbucks Cleopatra Grand game on lotoquebec.com, Loto-Québec's online gaming site, on March 9. She received her prize on April 1 at the corporation's head office in Montréal, and it was no April Fool’s!

Highlights

  • Breton usually buys her lottery tickets online and plays other games while there, such as Powerbucks Cleopatra Grand.
  • On March 9, the Montréal resident thought she’d won a $450 prize in the game and was quite pleased.
  • Later that day, Breton called Loto-Québec back since she had received a message. An employee then told her she was the lucky winner of the $1,446,012 progressive jackpot!  She was speechless!
  • Loto-Québec invited Breton to confirm her win by logging in to her lotoquebec.com account. She then announced the news to her spouse.
  • The millionaire plans to use the progressive jackpot to buy a house in Gaspésie.
