$1,000,000Father and daughter win $1,000,000 thanks to an electric car

Montréal, September 17, 2024 — Centre-du-Québec father-daughter duo Renald Lehoux and Marilyne Lehoux share a $1,000,000 Maxmillions prize they won in the July 26 Lotto Max draw.

Highlights

  • The Lehoux were on the road together when Marilyne decided to stop and recharge her electric vehicle. Her father used that time to buy a Lotto Max ticket at the gas station’s convenience store.
  • On the Sunday after the draw, he went to the convenience store to validate the ticket. He couldn’t believe his eyes when all those zeros appeared in the amount displayed on the terminal’s screen. He called Marilyne immediately to ask her to meet him at the store, but she was only available at the end of the day. She feared her father had some bad news to share, so she was relieved when she learned they’d won a million!
  • Renald plans to use his share to buy a new vehicle that can tow his trailer and explore Québec. Meanwhile, Marilyne wants to take some time to think about how she’ll enjoy this great gift!
