Lotto 6/49She wins $1,000,000 and goes bowling!
Montréal, November 14, 2024 — Montérégie couple Micheline Heppell Côté and Normand Côté won a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize in the October 19 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Highlights
- The couple has been playing the lottery together for many years, and she mainly purchases the tickets. They usually choose their combination by drawing six numbers from 1 to 49 out of a bag.
- Before leaving for the bowling alley, Heppell Côté stopped at a retailer to validate her ticket. She watched the attendant grow increasingly wide-eyed before letting her know that the ticket had won her $1,000,000.
- Unfazed, Heppell Côté returned home to break the news to her spouse and put the ticket away in a safe place, then left for the bowling alley as planned. She says she played rather well despite the emotion!
- She and Côté plan to use their windfall to spoil their family.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Promenades Montarville Jean Coutu pharmacy in Boucherville. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
