$1,000,000“It’s official, I’m retiring!”

Montréal, March 28, 2024 – Michel Savoie, a Montérégie resident, won $1,000,000 in the Québec Max draw on March 8, 2024. Savoie, who was already semi-retired, decided to officially retire when he found out he’d won.

A few days after the draw, he went to get his ticket validated at a lottery kiosk: “When the lady told me how much I’d won, I grabbed my ticket and went straight back to my car.” Once seated, he called his sister right away to tell her the news. With his winnings, he plans to buy a condo and retire completely.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Metro grocery store on Chemin Chambly in Longueuil. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
