Lottery tickets purchased in QuébecFour lucky winners take home a total of $1,750,000
Montréal, March 20, 2024 — Lady Luck smiled upon four Capitale-Nationale residents over the last few weeks. The lucky winners claimed prizes ranging from $250,000 to $1,000,000, which they won with lottery tickets they purchased in Quebec City.
Two sisters split $1 million
Denise and Hélène Gaulin took home $1,000,000 in the February 28 Banco draw with a $1 play. Their initial prize of $200,000 increased fivefold thanks to the Turbo option. The two sisters, who always buy and check their lottery tickets together, had already won $5,000 in the past. They’ve been dreaming of returning to the Loto-Québec winners' lounge ever since. Their dream became a reality this March. The Gaulin sisters plan to use their windfall to renovate their condo.
The winning ticket was purchased at Jean Coutu pharmacy, located at 1455 Chemin Sainte-Foy. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
500,000 thanks to a winning ticket she left in her purse
Rachel Chabot won $25,000 a week for life in the January 15 Grande Vie draw. She'd forgotten about some tickets she’d left in her purse for a few weeks, including the winning ticket. When she had it validated at a retailer, she didn’t recognize the animation on the consumer display screen. She exclaimed: “I never win anyway!” She learned the great news while checking everything with Loto-Québec. She opted for the $500,000 lump sum prize and plans to spoil herself by purchasing a new pool and a spa.
The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur Voisin, located at 5000 Boulevard de l’Ormière.
She woke up to a lucky morning
Denise Bergeron also won a Grande Vie prize, but in the March 4 draw. The lucky winner usually plays Banco and Lotto 6/49. This time, though, she chose to get a Grande Vie ticket. This decision won her $250,000! Bergeron saw the draw results the following day as she drank her coffee. She quickly called her son to tell him the good news. She plans to use this sum to cut down on her work hours and purchase a car.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Provi-Soir convenience store, located at 3505 Chemin des Quatre-Bourgeois.
