Montréal, May 28, 2024 — Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac resident Stéphanie Proulx took home the $1,000,000 top prize after spinning the wheel during the Roue de fortune game show.
Highlights
- Stéphanie Proulx went to the corner store intending to buy La Poule aux œufs d’or tickets but changed her mind once there and left with a Roue de fortune ticket instead.
- When she scratched the ticket, she saw she won a contestant spot on the TV show. She was very excited to go on TV and hurried to call her mother and tell her the news.
- When Proulx appeared on the show, she spun the wheel surrounded by her three sons and the rest of her family. Everyone was thrilled to see the ball land on the $1 million wedge!
- The new millionaire plans to use her windfall to treat herself to the designer purse she’s been dreaming about for so long. She’ll also be paying the tuition fees for her return to school.

The Roue de fortune game show is back for a 36th season on TVA with a brand-new format: winners will now spin the wheel at festivals sponsored by Loto-Québec. Co-hosts Anick Dumontet and Pascal Morrissette will still be there to cheer them on. Episodes filmed in 2023 will air after Salut Bonjour Week-end every Sunday until June 2 and the weekends of June 8–9 and 15–16. Video segments taped during festivals will air starting on June 24, from Monday to Wednesday after Sucré Salé. Contestants are guaranteed to win a prize of between $25,000 and $1,000,000.
