Montréal, July 19, 2024 — Laurentides residents Pierre Major and Louise Racine won $1,000,000 each, only four days apart. Major took home one of the additional prizes in the June 4 Québec Max draw with a ticket purchased with an online subscription, whereas Racine won the guaranteed prize in the June 8 Lotto 6/49 draw.

- He was surprised when he heard the great news. He plans to use the windfall to spoil himself.

Highlights of Louise Racine’s win
- Racine chose to play the combination her mother used to play when buying Lotto 6/49 tickets. She immediately noticed all the zeros on the screen when checking her ticket with the self-serve ticket checker.
- She was stunned and asked the attendant to also check the ticket. Once her win was confirmed, she shared the excellent news with her sister.
- She plans to use the money to travel, especially to Italy and Portugal.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Familiprix pharmacy at 14955 Rue des Saules in Mirabel. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
Mirabel resident wins $100,000 with Roue de fortune
Lady Luck smiled at another Laurentides resident. Guylaine Bergeron, from Mirabel, won $100,000 as a contestant on Roue de fortune éclair with a ticket purchased online. She dreams of travelling to Greece and plans to retire early.
