Montréal, January 23, 2024 — Six Montérégie residents experienced the thrill of winning the lottery with the Célébration 2024 draws. One of them was América Portas, who took home $1,000,000! Many of these lucky winners met one of the Célébration 2024 Gala hosts, Sébastien Benoit, during a surprise prize payout event at Loto-Québec.

The $5,000,000 Célébration 2024 grand prize has yet to be claimed. Loto-Québec is urging all Québec players to check their tickets.

A millionaire in Montérégie

América Portas is the luckiest Montérégie winner to have claimed a Célébration 2024 prize so far, pocketing $1,000,000! Her daughter checked her ticket and called her with the fantastic news. Portas said her daughter reacted far more strongly than she did when she found out. The winner had purchased her ticket at the Jean Coutu pharmacy on Boulevard Montarville in Boucherville. The retailer will receive $10,000, equal to 1% of the prize.

It’s raining Mercedes-Benz cars!

Constance Bergeron took home a Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC electric sedan valued at $110,000 thanks to a ticket she purchased at the IGA Extra on Boulevard du Millénaire in Saint-Basile-le-Grand. Her spouse told her the great news.

Christine Brunet won the same car with a ticket her brother gave her as a gift. He’d purchased the lucky ticket at Dépanneur Card’s at 380 Rue Danis in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.

Another one of the 20 lucky winners of a Mercedes-Benz with Célébration 2024 was Elie Mansour. He discovered he’d won on the Lotteries app while drinking his coffee. What a great way to wake up! The Couche-Tard on Boulevard Omer-Marcil sold him the ticket in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

In Longueuil, the Nobert convenience store on Boulevard Nobert made another Mercedes-Benz winner in Montérégie. Ceradieu Toussaint couldn’t believe his luck. But it was true!

A gift of $25,000

Béatrice Therrien won $25,000 at one of the Célébration 2024 December daily draws. She received the ticket as a gift from her spouse, who’d purchased it at the Jean Coutu pharmacy on Rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Beloeil. In her thirties, Therrien plans to renovate the family home.
