$ 1,000,000Three friends win playing Lotto 6/49

Montréal, January 31, 2024 — Stéphane Caron from the Laurentides, Keith O’Brien from Ontario and Béla John Balogh from Montréal won $1,000,000 with the Lotto 6/49 draw on December 27. Now retired, the three friends used to play as part of a group and buy their tickets together at work. The group lost a few members as time passed, but these three former colleagues stayed the course and continued playing the lottery together.

Balogh is the one who bought the winning ticket worth $1,000,000, which the trio split into three shares. His friends could hardly believe it when Balogh called them to deliver the news. All three plan to use the money to travel and treat themselves.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Coin à chance (Lucky Corner) convenience store in Galeries Kirkland at 3658 Boulevard Saint-Charles in Kirkland. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
