LanaudièreEight prizes of $1,000,000 or more won in 2023—and a new winner to kick off 2024!

Montréal, January 19, 2024 – Lanaudière residents had a hot hand with lottery games this past year. Eight prizes of $1,000,000 or more were awarded in the region, along with 32 cheques for $100,000 or more and 106 cheques for $25,000 or more. 2024 is also shaping up nicely for folks in Lanaudière: Local resident Jérémie Guernon has already won $1,000 a week for life with a Gagnant à Vie scratch ticket.

New winners

  • One of the Lanaudière winners, Carl Gilbert, claimed the $1,000,000 prize he won in the November 15 Lotto 6/49 draw at the end of 2023. He realized the ticket he’d been packing around in his wallet all that time was a winner by checking it on the Lotteries app. He’d purchased the lucky ticket at the Marché Tradition in Crabtree.

  • Jérémie Guernon was Lanaudière’s first resident to win big in a lottery game in 2024. The 40-something landed the grand prize of $1,000 a week for life on January 9 with a Gagnant à Vie ticket purchased at the Proxi Extra in Saint-Calixte but he chose to receive the annuity of $1,000 a week for life. For him, it was about financial security. Either way, now he can spoil himself day in and day out!
