Montréal, February 16, 2024 — Mauricie resident Jean-Guy Gagnon won the $2,000,000 grand prize in the January 20 Québec 49 draw. For many years now, Gagnon has been playing Québec 49 with numbers he picks himself. On his way to buy a new ticket, he took the opportunity to check his tickets from the previous draw and was surprised to see $2,000,000 pop up on the display screen. He couldn’t believe his eyes! He even decided to go to another store to double-check his ticket to make sure it wasn’t a mistake. But it was true! Gagnon says he’ll be investing part of his winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Tabagie du Boulevard on Boulevard des Forges in Trois-Rivières.
