Lotto Max11 colleagues share a $1,000,000 prize!

Montréal, April 23, 2024 — Several Mauricie residents won big in the April 16 Lotto Max draw: eleven current and former colleagues took home a $1,000,000 prize! The winners gathered at the Salon de jeux de Trois-Rivières on April 23 to receive their share. Some of them took some time off work for the occasion and returned later in the day.

Highlights

  • When Yves Dupont saw that the Lotto Max jackpot was going from 60 to 70 million in 2019, he convinced 10 of his colleagues to create a lottery group.
  • Even if some have since retired, they still play together.
  • Dupont discovered they’d won the day after the draw as he checked his ticket with the Loto-Québec Lotteries app. He couldn’t believe the result he was seeing!
  • He checked the ticket three times before calling each group member to share the great news.
  • Many of the winners said the win was a blessing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur Roger 2, located at 667 Rue De La Vérendrye in Trois-Rivières. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.

The 11 winners are:

  • Yves Dupont, lottery group “captain”
  • Philippe Dufresne
  • Tommy Dupont
  • Claudia Gervais
  • Kurt Gruninger

  • Danielle Héroux
  • Johanne Héroux
  • Nicolas Rajic
  • Jean-Pierre Roy
  • Paul St-Arnauld
  • Jean-Jacques Tessier
