La Malbaie, August 13, 2024 — Starting this Thursday, comedy fans are invited to the Hôtel-Casino de Charlevoix resort for the launch of Charlevoix fait son ComediHa! Loto-Québec is delighted to present this one-of-a-kind event to locals and visitors alike—and it’s completely free! The family-friendly festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. every Thursday to Sunday until September 1.

Comedy nights at the Ha!ngar

Comedy nights will take place at Ha!ngar ComediHa!, a cabaret-style venue presenting free performances four nights a week. Each night promises to be a unique, laugh-out-loud experience:

• Every Thursday and Friday: the ComediHa! Club! cabaret

Hosted by Nic Audet, Pascale Marineau and PB Rivard. They’ll be welcoming guests such as Karen Arsenault, Guillaume Boldock, Jean-Marie Corbeil, Rachelle Elie, Alex Lapointe, Cathleen Rouleau, Guillaume Wagner and Richardson Zéphir.

• Every Saturday: Mystery shows

Audiences can look forward to seeing big names in Québec comedy right up close! But they won’t know who will be taking the stage until the curtain rises.

• Every Sunday: Gong Show 

Guest comedians will do whatever it takes to make the audience and judges Charles Deschamps and Antoni Remillard laugh.

Ha!ngar doors open at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.

Fun and games at the funfair village

The already enchanting grounds of the Hôtel-Casino de Charlevoix resort will be transformed into a funfair village for three weeks. This fun and festive site will be the perfect place to kick off summer evenings. Visitors can stroll under the magical glow of the lanterns, grab some street eats at one of the food trucks and enjoy the many activities, including classic carnival games. The village will be open every Thursday to Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Dunk Tank

On August 24 and 25, starting at 4 p.m., Charlevoix locals can challenge friends, family and colleagues to a dip in the dunk tank. Participants will not only have the pleasure of dunking someone in the water, but will also be contribuing to a good cause. Proceeds will be donated to the Hôtel-Casino de Charlevoix’s non-profit partners: Service d’Aide Communautaire de Charlevoix-Est, the Pro-Santé community centre and Moisson Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.
