Grand prizes of $1,000,000 and $500,000 up for grabs during the April 30 anniversary special!

Montréal, April 26, 2023La Poule aux œufs d’or will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on Sunday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. on TVA! $500,000 grand prize for TV viewers

The special-edition La Poule aux œufs d’or $2 tickets, La Poule aux œufs d’or plus $5 tickets and La Poule aux œufs d’or ultra $10 tickets are on sale at lottery retailers, on lotoquebec.com and on the Lotteries app. On April 30, a ticket holder could walk away with a $500,000 grand prize thanks to the combination of the third jeu des bouliers.

Contestants selected via random draw

La Poule aux œufs d’or ticket holders had to uncover the “Tirage” symbol three times in the same play area to be eligible for the April 30 anniversary special. A random draw was then held to select the six contestants who joined Julie Houle, Sébastien Benoit and Richard Turcotte on set to try to win one million dollars!

Over 9,260 contestants, and just as many authentic emotions

“Every week since 1993, TV viewers across Québec have been seeing how much fun winners have on La Poule aux œufs d’or. It’s because these emotions are authentic that both the show and the lottery game have stood the test of time and become a Québec tradition,” said Isabelle Jean, Executive Vice-President and COO of Lottery Games at Loto-Québec. Thanks to this longevity, over 9,260 contestants have won more than 282 million dollars to date.

“I want to congratulate and say thank you to the teams that, over the last 30 years, have contributed to the success of this game show that features such a warm and friendly atmosphere every week. La Poule aux œufs d’or hosts’ cheerfulness is so contagious that TV viewers—who have always watched the show in great numbers—have just as much fun as the on-set contestants,” added Nathalie Fabien, Senior Director – Channels and Programming, TVA Group.
