A Mauricie resident wins $1,000,000 with Lotto Max

“I think I won big!”

Montréal, November 9, 2022 — Charles Beauchesne Girard, who is in his 30s and lives in Mauricie, took home a Maxmillions prize of $1,000,000 in the October 25 Lotto Max draw. When Girard went to have his ticket checked at a store, he didn’t see the full amount he’d won. He only saw a few zeros and said to the clerk: “I think I won big!” A customer nearby reassured him that he’d indeed just won $1 million. Girard plans to invest some of his winnings so he can enjoy them for a long time.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Sonic gas station on Boulevard des Bois-Francs Nord in Victoriaville.
