Montréal, August 17, 2021 — Four people who didn’t know each other but joined the same online group won the $6,000,000 Lotto 6/49 jackpot in the July 17 draw! The lucky ticket was a group-play ticket.

• The lucky group owes its existence, and even its name, to Mr. Cyr’s cat. As Mr. Cyr was getting ready to buy the last share of an online group, his cat interrupted him with a little dance on his keyboard.
• Because the acrobatic performance cost him his spot, Cyr decided to form his own group, which he named The Flying Wallenda in honour of his feline friend.
