CÉLÉBRATION 2021A show that promises to be filled with surprises, even bigger prizes, and winners galore!

Montréal, December 8, 2020TVA and Loto Québec are pleased to unveil the new concept for Célébration 2021, the must-see TV event that airs this Sunday, January 10 at 7 p.m., as well as the performers who’ll be making guest appearances. The highly anticipated event, which will be broadcast for the first time without an audience, promises to be as entertaining as ever!

First-time host: Ludivine Reding

Well-known actress Ludivine Reding will have the honour of hosting this year’s edition, while Sébastien Benoit will be conducting the draws, and Joël Legendre will be in charge of staging the event. Centred on the theme of Célébrons ensemble (Let’s celebrate together), the Célébration 2021 Gala will be giving viewers a chance to load up on good vibes and extend their year-end celebrations.

The beloved artists who’ll take the stage

The festive event will feature performances by: Bleu Jeans Bleu, who won the Félix for group of the year in 2019; songstresses Joe Bocan, Marie Carmen and Marie Denise Pelletier; Roxane Bruneau, recipient of the Félix for song of the year in 2019; singer-songwriter Jacques Michel and his timeless classics; rapper Sarahmée, who’ll be joined on-stage by dancers from the Rockwell Family studio; and the legendary Guylaine Tanguay.

“I’m very proud of the work put in by the many creative minds behind Célébration. They were able to adapt and rework things so that we could hold a safe event while still keeping things fun,” said Isabelle Jean, President of Operations – Lotteries, and Vice-President of Public Affairs at Loto Québec.

“I’m delighted that TVA will once again be bringing this highly anticipated TV event to viewers. Our partner Loto-Québec has gone above and beyond to ensure our audience gets a good start to the new year with a world-class show featuring celebrated performers,” added Nathalie Fabien, Senior Director – Channels and Programming at TVA Group.

Thrilling live draws

Célébration has always been one of Loto-Québec’s most generous lottery games, and this year’s edition will be no exception, with even more cash prizes and big-ticket items up for grabs. The draws for the $5,000,000 grand prize and five $1,000,000 prizes will be held during the broadcast. All those who bought a Célébration ticket or received one as a gift will be able to tune in to see if the numbers on their ticket flash across the screen.

As for those who won a participation télé (i.e. an entry for the televised draw), they’ll be able to watch the thrilling draws from the comfort of their home. Thanks to the wonders of technology, viewers will be able to witness their interactions with the hosts and experience the excitement felt by the finalists. One will become a millionaire on live TV, while the others will win prizes ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. It bears noting that the minimum prize, which was $10,000 in previous years, has been increased to $25,000. What’s more, before the gala takes place, five bonus entries for the televised draw will be drawn, as part of the 2nd Chance promotion, among players who entered the Internet code on their ticket online.

Let’s celebrate together!

In these uniquely challenging times, the Célébration 2021 Gala will be a rare opportunity for everyone to come together and enjoy the extraordinary talent of Québec artists. As for the winners, they’ll cap off the exciting evening with a win that’s sure to brighten up their winter! Viewers can tune in to the gala on Sunday, January 10, at 7 p.m. on TVA.
