Top PrizePrévost resident wins $437,000 with La Poule aux œufs d’or!

Montréal, November 18, 2024 — Prévost resident Helen Redhead Thompson took home the La Poule aux œufs d’or top prize, which had reached $425,000, on the November 17 show. This amount was in addition to the $12,000 prize she’d already won in the Jeu des portes, so she left with a total of $437,000. Redhead Thompson plans to use part of her windfall to go on a cruise with her husband and celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary in style! She also plans to spoil her loved ones, especially her grandchildren.

Highlights

  • Redhead Thompson watches La Poule aux œufs d’or every Sunday and purchases tickets regularly. When she discovered she’d won a contestant spot on the TV show, she immediately told her husband, “Michel, we’re going to be on TV!”
  • During the show, she was in a tiebreaker with another contestant, Yvan Boucher, who was his spouse Elise Marcoux’s proxy. Redhead Thompson chose to leave Boucher the envelope and reveal what was hidden in egg number 24. To everyone’s surprise on set, it was the top prize! The envelope, for its part, had $40,000.
