• On February 20, he went to a retailer and checked a dozen tickets he still had in his wallet.
• The amount he saw on the screen when scanning one of these tickets with the self-serve ticket checker wasn’t what he was used to. “I jumped when I saw all those zeros after the first number. I checked the ticket again and got the same result!”
• Khalil called his wife and said, “I’m paying off the mortgage today!” He showed her the winning ticket when he returned home.
• In addition to paying off the mortgage, Khalil plans to spoil his children and travel with his wife.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Jean Coutu pharmacy at 600 Montée du Moulin in the Saint-François area of Laval.
