Lotto MaxLucky pit stop at a Saint-Liboire service station: 11 people share $1,000,000

Montréal, August 29, 2024 — Stopping at a Saint-Liboire service station on Highway 20 turned out to be a winning move for Quebecers from across the province. They all purchased a Double Jeu Max (Lotto Max and Québec Max) group-play ticket for the August 6 draw. The ticket earned them a Maxmillions prize of $1,000,000, giving each holder of the 10 shares $100,000!

Highlights on some of our winners

  • Capitale-Nationale resident Denis Dion bought his ticket while on a road trip to visit family. When he discovered he’d won $100,000, he called his spouse and asked her to get ready to go to the Salon de jeux de Québec and claim Dion’s prize together. He plans to use the winnings to renovate the couple’s kitchen.

  • Jacinthe Gagnon likes to purchase lottery tickets when she’s travelling. When she returned to Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, she validated her ticket at the grocery store. She said she heard the terminal “sing,” giving her a hint that she’d won!

  • Montérégie resident Rachelle Noël and her spouse had just purchased a new car. After leaving the dealership, she stopped at the service station for doughnuts and coffee and was tempted by a Formule groupe ticket since the jackpot was large. When she checked her ticket with the Lotteries app, she saw she’d won $100,000. Noël and her spouse will use the prize to pay for their new car.
