Montréal, October 20, 2023 — “I won $1,000,000 and didn’t know it,” said Lanaudière resident Patrick Kirsch, who purchased his lottery ticket online. It took several attempts for Loto-Québec to reach Kirsch and inform him he had won. It had been a month since the August 13 Extra draw had made him a millionaire!

Patrick Kirsch received his prize surrounded by family and lifelong friends. They all left Loto-Québec’s head office in a limousine and celebrated the win with a good meal. Kirsch plans to use his windfall to retire earlier and go to Greece. His next step? “Head to a sun destination and think about projects!” he said.
