Montréal, October 26, 2023 — A group won the guaranteed $1,000,000 prize in the October 4 Lotto 6/49 draw with their Formule groupe tickets purchased at the Place l’Ormière shopping centre in Quebec City. The 11 winners, all of whom reside in the Capitale-Nationale area, share the prize’s 10 shares of $100,000.

Guy Gingras (one share of $100,000) – A fan of Formule groupe, Gingras first wanted to buy a group play share for the Lotto Max draw, but all groups were full. So, he chose Lotto 6/49 instead. When he checked his ticket on his computer the next day, he got quite a surprise. “That was a lot of zeros!” Gingras wants to use his win to spoil his children.

Irène Pruneau (one share of $100,000) – Pruneau got the great news when she had her ticket validated at a retailer the day after the draw. “I was weak at the knees!” She plans to use her windfall to purchase a new car.

Sylvain Rhéaume (one share of $100,000) – Rhéaume had his ticket checked while shopping at the grocery store. The cashier informed him he’d won $100,000. He immediately called his daughter to share the great news. Rhéaume plans to purchase a new truck.

Jean-Claude St-Pierre (two shares of $100,000) – St-Pierre remained calm when he learned about his two wins. He asked his wife to sit down before telling her he’d won $200,000. St-Pierre will take some time to think about what he wants to do with his windfall.

Jean-Paul Rock (one share of $100,000) – Rock is a long-time lottery fan. He discovered he’d won when checking his ticket on his tablet. His wife couldn’t believe their luck! Rock will be using the prize money to renovate the house.
