She had her ticket checked after hearing that Loto-Québec was searching for the holder of a winning ticket of $2,000,000.

• A few minutes later, she asked her husband to check the ticket while running an errand.
• He immediately called her when he found out the amount of the prize she’d won. Then, they called their close family to tell them the great news.
• The newly minted multimillionaire is planning to travel to Italy, her husband’s native country, and spend even more quality time with her daughter.

The lucky winner purchased her Québec 49 ticket at Dépanneur Super Sun at 1365 Avenue Dollard in the LaSalle borough of Montréal. The day before this particular Québec 49 draw, i.e., on October 6, Montréal resident Pierre Richer took home the $50,000,000 Lotto Max jackpot with a ticket that had also been purchased in LaSalle at the Super C on Boulevard Champlain.
