$1,000,000Bas–Saint-Laurent Extra winner plans to retire

Montréal, May 19, 2023 — Alain Lebel won $1,000,000 at the April 21 Extra draw. The Bas–Saint-Laurent resident rarely plays the lottery, but when he does, he always chooses Extra. “The terminal made a different sound, and when the attendant saw the validation slip, he went to get his supervisor!” said the new millionaire, who plans on investing his windfall and retire earlier than expected.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Pharmaprix located on Boulevard Jessop in Rimouski. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
