This Laval resident, who won $1,000,000 in the May 23 Québec Max draw, had to verify his winning ticket three times with the self-service ticket checker. He saw several zeros on the screen each time. When he went up to the counter, certain that his ticket was worth $1,000,000, he jokingly said, “Do you have a million in your cash register?” The clerk who laughed at first, thinking it was a joke, was speechless when she checked the ticket! Banville intends on spoiling his loved ones and making some investments with his winnings.
