“All I saw was a slew of zeros!” A Lanaudière resident wins $1,000,000 with Lotto Max

Montréal, July 25, 2023 — Junior Robergeau won a Maxmillions prize—i.e., $1,000,000—in the July 7 Lotto Max draw. When he checked his tickets using the self-serve ticket checker, the Lanaudière resident saw one outcome that was markedly different from the other. “All I saw was a slew of zeros!” He checked his ticket again, and in the heat of the moment, called up his wife. “She thought something terrible had happened to me.” After he regained his composure, he told her the good news. With his windfall, Robergeau says he plans to pay off a part of his mortgage, take a family trip, and buy a new car.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro-Canada, located at 620 Montée des Pionniers in Terrebonne. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
