$1,000,000Two Mauricie residents win big with Célébration 2023

Montréal, January 31, 2023 — Two Mauricie residents won big with Célébration 2023 tickets they bought in Shawinigan. Manon Chauvette and Daniel Marcouiller had one of the five winning combinations worth $1,000,000 that were drawn live during the January 8 gala.

“A million”

  • The look that Manon Chauvrette had on her face told Daniel Marcouiller everything he needed to know, and he guessed right that his spouse had good news to share. “A million,” were the only two word that a shocked Chauvrette uttered to him.
  • The couple, who were about to set off on a trip, had left their Célébration 2023 tickets in a fruit bowl. Once they got back from vacation, Chauvrette went to check the tickets at the grocery store.
  •  When the clerk told her that one of her tickets had won her $1,000,000, a cluster of fellow shoppers gathered around.
  • With their windfall, the couple say they’re thinking of buying a recreational vehicle.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Couche-Tard located at 800 6e Avenue in Shawinigan. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
