$3,000,000A Bas–Saint-Laurent resident becomes a multimillionaire thanks to a new scratch ticket!

Montréal, December 13, 2023 — Bas–Saint-Laurent resident Steve Ouellet had a stroke of luck when he purchased the new Platine scratch ticket. This new lottery game is offered across Canada and features several $3,000,000 grand prizes. He was lucky enough to win one of them! He discovered he had become a multimillionaire while at his father’s birthday party.

Since Steve likes to jest, his family didn’t take him seriously at first when he told them he’d won the lottery. And yet, it was true! The winner received his prize at the Loto-Québec head office on Friday, December 8.

Part of Ouellet’s projects includes investing so he can enjoy his windfall for a long time. He also plans to spoil his loved ones, purchase a car and travel to Costa Rica.

The winning ticket was purchased at Marché gourmand Saint-Cyprien (Marché Richelieu), located at 147 Rue Principale in Saint-Cyprien. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $30,000.
