Montréal, December 27, 2023 — Montréal resident Jocelyne Lessard purchased what turned out to be a Gagnant à vie winning ticket and won an annuity of $1,000 a week for life. In the end, she opted for the lump-sum prize of $1,000,000, which she’ll use to enjoy her retirement to the fullest.
Highlights
- Lessard is an avid fan of scratch tickets and decided to play the Gagnant à vie lottery game while she was running some errands at Place Versailles.
- She scratched her ticket when she got home and uncovered three balloon symbols. “I couldn’t believe it when I saw “VIE” written next to the symbols!”
- Lessard returned to the kiosk with her husband to check her ticket. “The lady at the counter congratulated me and told me to call Loto-Québec—and that’s when I realized that I had truly won $1,000 a week for life.”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Place Versailles lottery kiosk in Montréal.
