Montréal, May 13, 2022 — Mayelin Gonzalez and Alessandro Porcaro, who live in the Capitale-Nationale region, took home $1,000,000 in the April 29 Québec Max draw. The couple, who’ve been together for five years and have been playing Québec Max for the same length of time, found out they’d won the grand prize while out at the grocery store. Their win even drew a round of applause from fellow shoppers! With their windfall, the lucky winners say they plan to secure their financial future through investments. They also intend to visit family members in Italy and Cuba, and live life to the fullest.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Couche-Tard on Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel, in Quebec City. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
