$1,154,688 won with Lotto Max“We’re not on [a hidden camera show], are we?”

Montréal, June 17, 2022 — Montréal couple Louise Blais Trahan and Pierre Trahan won $1,154,688 in the May 31 Lotto Max draw. Louise didn’t immediately believe the pharmacy attendant when the latter told her that her ticket was worth over $1 million: “We’re not on [a hidden camera show], are we?” the winner kidded. The couple say they plan to share their windfall with their two children, who are their top priority.

Highlights

  • Louise told us that after witnessing her win, other customers at the pharmacy scrambled to buy their own Lotto Max tickets!
  • Funnily enough, Pierre was on his way to meet up with his wife when he crossed paths with a customer who had just watched the whole scene unfold. The latter told Pierre that he’d just seen a woman wearing a pink jacket win the lottery, and more than $1,000,000, no less!
  • That’s when Pierre saw his wife walking toward him. And she was donning a pink jacket!

The winning ticket was purchased at Tabagie Versailles on Rue Sherbrooke Est in Montréal. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $11,546.
