Montréal, June 3, 2022 — Gilles Giroux, who lives in La Macaza, a municipality in the Laurentides region, won the $1,000,000 grand prize on the Roue de fortune chez vous! show after he spun the wheel at the Château Taillefer Lafon vineyard in Laval. Giroux says he’ll use his windfall to make renovations to his chalet, which is also in the Laurentides. He’ll also be able to help his spouse retire earlier than planned, spoil his son and grandchildren, and travel.

Highlights

• Gilles Giroux has just retired from his job in metalworking.
• At the convenience store, he asked for four $3 Roue de fortune chez vous! tickets. By mistake, the clerk only gave him three. He made sure to get his fourth ticket before leaving the store. This last ticket was the first one he scratched, and the one that won him a contestant spot on the TV show!

• Nova Scotia and Hawaii are among the destinations that the lucky winner hopes to visit.

Roue de fortune chez vous! will be serving up plenty of must-see TV moments this summer. The show, back on TVA since April 16, gives contestants the chance to win a prize ranging anywhere from $25,000 to $1,000,000.
