$1,000,000 with Lotto MaxTwo Laurentides residents win a Maxmillions prize!

Montréal, July 6, 2022 — Couple Lucie Roberts and Gerard Ouellet, who live in the Laurentides, won $1,000,000 in the June 24 Lotto Max draw. With their windfall, Roberts says she plans to take a trip to Europe, and Ouellet says he intends to go on a fishing trip!

Highlights

  • When Roberts checked their ticket the day after the draw, she saw confetti and “$1,000,000” pop up on her phone.
  • She hurriedly woke up her spouse and handed him her phone: “Look! Pinch me! This can’t be happening!” Ouellet, who then checked the ticket on his own phone, saw the same thing.
  • Roberts rallied up all their family members and sent all of them, at the same time, a screenshot of the amount won. She even took care to install a camera so as not to miss a beat of their reaction!

The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur Goodies on Boulevard du Curé-Labelle in Sainte-Thérèse. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
