Lotto MaxThree family members from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean split $1,000,000!

Montréal, July 13, 2022 — Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean residents Cynthia, Laval and Pâquerette Bolduc each took home a share of the Maxmillions prize they won in the June 21 Lotto Max draw. The winners say they plan to use their windfall to travel and spoil loved ones.

Highlights

  • During an outing to the restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, Cynthia suggested that her father and aunt play Lotto Max with her; especially since the jackpot had hit a whopping $70,000,000.
  • Pâquerette was the one who bought the group’s ticket. The day after the draw, when she checked the ticket at self-serve checker, she saw $1,000,000 pop up on-screen. She thought nothing of it, initially thinking it was an ad for the next draw.
  • Once she checked the ticket a second time, she understood the true meaning of it all—the group had actually won $1,000,000! She immediately called up her brother and niece to tell them the good news.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur René-Lévesque on Boulevard René-Lévesque in Jonquière. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
